CONTINENTAL TOOL GROUP designs, manufactures, and sells heavy-duty pneumatic impact tools, various industrial tools, air motors, hydro-pneumatic riveters, hydrostatic test plugs, impact sockets, and custom gears.

CONTINENTAL TOOL GROUP’s “Engineered Solutions” products are sold directly to Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs), while industrial branded products are distributed through a broad network of specialized industrial distributors. These distributors serve industries such as power generation, petrochemical, aerospace, construction, railroad, mining, shipbuilding, and fabricated metals, among others. CONTINENTAL TOOL GROUP collaborates closely with its industrial customers to design and manufacture products, ranging from finished components to complete turnkey systems, which are then sold under the customers’ own brand names.

Job Responsibilities

  • Handles customer requests for quotes and orders, be customer engaging and builds sustainable customer relationships
  • Answer inbound communication addressing account needs and issues. Initiate outbound communication as needed
  • Identify customer needs, clarify information, research issues and provide solutions and/or alternatives
  • Answer customer questions about product brands and provide information assisting product selection
  • Assist customers with troubleshooting online account issues, utilizing available online tools
  • Become skilled at understanding basic customer application requirements and company provided solutions
  • Meet personal and team qualitative and quantitative sales support target goals
  • Ability to process incoming correspondence, forms, and other documentation received from customers
  • Handle difficult or escalated communications and assist with resolution
  • Update customer account information and keep records of customer communication outcomes in a CRM database
  • Direct customer inquiries to Continental Tool Group’s outside sales team when direct customer contact is needed
  • Communicate with plant operations personnel when needed regarding customer order information and planning

 

Job Qualifications

Strong communication, listening, writing, and computer proficiency skills

Prior inside sales experience

Additional Job Requirements:

  • Ability to multi-task, problem solve, and perform in depth research while assisting the customer
  • Ability to understand industrial products and take personal initiative to self-train and stay current
  • Assist team members and operations with production forecast planning input when needed

 

Preferred Qualifications and/or Experience:

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (primarily Excel and Word) and experience with ERP system for customer ordering and CRM input.
