Custom-Made Gears
Power Transmission Group, formerly known as Quality Gear, Blazman Gear and Gear Products, is a custom gear manufacturer and gearbox repair facility located in Punxsutawney, PA and a member of the American Gear Manufacturers Association (AGMA).
Our 52,000 square foot facility contains well over 200 CNC and manual machines used in production with extensive inventory of custom and specialized tooling. The quality verification lab ensures that all products meet exacting specifications dictated by the AGMA.
In addition to being a custom gear manufacturer, we can reverse engineer old gears or design new utilizing CMM and SolidWorks 3D modeling software. Before any gear is released into production finite element analysis run to ensure proper gear design.
Materials
Raw material available in 3-4 days:
Ferrous – Steel, Alloy Steel , Carbon Steel, Cast & Ductile Iron.
Non-Ferrous – Copper, Aluminum, Brass, Zinc, Lead and Tin.
Plastics – Phenolic Resin, Delrin, Nylon, UHMW and HDPE.
